Catering/Private Events Manager
We are a family-owned and operated restaurant and catering group based in South San Francisco, looking for an independent self-motivated Catering/Private Events Manager with experience in the hospitality industry to join and lead our team! This position is responsible for the management and direction of all catering and private events for multiple restaurant outlets and our corporate catering business. Opportunity for growth!
Control day-to-day operations of catering orders and private events, ensuring 100% customer satisfaction at all times
Full proficiency in OpenTable, POS systems, and Microsoft/Google Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required
Work collectively with Executive Chef and team to lead and manage all aspects of catering and event operations
Follow all catering systems and procedures, maintaining all catering documents in a clean and organized manner, and find ways to improve or streamline our system as possible
Recruit, interview, hire and train restaurant and catering team
Develop and maintain systems for inventory management and ordering to control food/beverage costs
Calculate and track sales performance, updating ownership on a regular basis
Manage any customer complaints generating suggested solutions to mitigate issues and assist in managing and responding to online reviews
Ensure a safe working for the catering team and proper food handling and safety
Demonstrate original and creative ideas to proactively grow the business
3-5 years of professional catering experience (must have experience in the hospitality industry!)
Ability to work independently and without direct guidance
Self-starter with strong work ethics
